Niels K. Thygesen made the first land purchase in 1997. Since then Mr Thygesen has purchased more and more land, and today controls more than 70% of the sector.
Planning permission granted in 2005 allows for the construction of a 13,500 m2 hotel complex and almost 33,000 m2 of residential units.
On 18th May 2011 the Town Hall in Almuñécar issued the building licenses for the hotel and for the 55 housing units in Phase 1.
